International Law is defined as "the body of law that governs the legal relations between or among states or nations," which means that a state has to be sovereign, and its government must have the ability to engage in diplomatic or foreign relations with other nations of the world aside from the condition of the population within the state or territory. International Law is divided
into Human Rights and Humanitarian Law that will hold a country responsible if that country fails to protect the rights of any individual within its territory. In fact, Haiti is one of the first nations to become a member of the United Nations. This proves that Haiti is in a very good position to align with other nations of the world. However, Haiti's legal system is too old. Haiti's entire legal statutes require transformation that will become the renewal of a reformation of the Haitian government without running its people by decrees. Very often, with the exception of a few elected members of the Haitian Parliament, specific individuals are inept in writing declarations that are aligned with the distinct conventions and treaties of Haiti's premonition with the United Nations.
